IAN TO - LEJOG
WELCOME TO THE ALL ACCESS - BEHIND THE SCENES PAGE FOR IAN TO's LANDS END TO JOHN O'GROATS SEPTEMBER RECORD ATTEMPT!
After the first attempt failure back in May, due to factors out of Ian's control, the Ultra Cycling record holder has been putting in the miles & training to ensure he's fully ready for the September attempt!
Project 44 - take two - will be on the road THIS WEEKEND! We will be getting you as close to Ian's attempt as we can, without setting up a web cam on his handlebars... Although, it's not a bad shout! Our workshop manager, Dave, will be in the support car as Ian's Head Mechanic - also doubling up as our on board gossip girl... Dave will be send across images & updates which we will be uploading through out our social media pages & this page.

Bike & Sponsors
Get closer to the athlete and his steed... Meet the Velocite SYN:
"Designed by science, not by guesswork and a marketing brief. The Velocite Syn is the fastest road bike in the world today. Over two years of research, development and testing delivers the ultimate combination of aerodynamics, stiffness and comfort."
Mitchell Cycles have been supporting locals riders for many years, mainly within the mountain bike disciplines but Ian started working closely with the store a few years back as he focused on his Ultra Cycling races. Then he joined our Team Mitchell Cycles rooster as the only road based cyclist - since then we have supported him with the mechanical and technical work. Head mechanic, Dave, accompanied Ian's team as his chief mechanic on the last attempt and will also be on hand through out this attempt.
Second generation and Mitchell's owner Andrew Mitchell said "We like supporting people that like to ride bikes; no matter the style we appreciate & understand people who find happiness whilst riding bikes, we want to be able to help others achieve their potential within the sport whether thats on a smaller - more local stage or at the top level. It's great that Ian is taking on such a tough challenge, we have a lot of respect for his determined mindset - he wants to give it everything & we're very happy to be able to support him - Good luck to the team & Ian!
