The Core Bike Show

TIME FOR THE ANNUAL SHOWS - THE CORE BIKE SHOW 2018.

Every year, like any industry, we have road show and product launches.. The Core Bike Show is one of the favoured on the calendar around the mid - end of Jan. The annual trade event is into it's twelfth year showcasing top industry brands via a 'relaxed' environment. The show has come along way in its life span - the first show back in 2005, which was held up in West Brom, had only 8 exhibitors take part & was set up by the 6 founding companies; 

  • Extra,
  • Windwave,
  • Upgrade,
  • Hope,
  • Ison Distribution,
  • Silverfish.

In 2018, the show is Exhibiting 26 companies from bikes to bells and almost everything in between!

Throughout the day; you come across a lot of products which are really just slightly enhanced, a new colour or even the same as last years version - still lovely but not much to get excited about from the previous season. However; there are some products that just create a bit of a buzz... Check out some of the products we think will be hot in 2018!

The pick of the day from Fabric, is apart of their light collection. The LUMARAY light is a 'out in front' mounted light - which clips in to your Garmin mount and then you clip your Garmin computer on to the top of the light. It creates a 30 Lumen almost car like day time running light.

Whilst at the Core Show, we got to check out some of the 2018 Winter collection - a little early to be thinking that far in advance, but the NightVision range is really using some of the best reflective properties out there. Allowing a jacket to visually appear like a normal casual jacket - but then add a flash or a car light hitting the material, your lite up like a Christmas tree! We got to see samples of the jackets which won't be released until later this year, but certainly something to check out for any commuter.
